At TEIGE, safety isn’t just a box we tick — it’s the foundation of how we operate. As we mark Construction Safety Week 2025 (5–9 May), we stand alongside industry leaders in reinforcing the importance of creating safe, respectful and accountable worksites across Australia.
All in Together: Plan. Own. Commit.
This year’s theme — “All in Together: Plan. Own. Commit.” — hits home for us. It’s about recognising that every team member, regardless of role or rank, plays a critical part in preventing accidents and promoting a culture of care. Safety starts with planning, continues with individual responsibility, and succeeds when every worker is genuinely committed.
Why Construction Safety Still Needs a Spotlight
Despite advancements in tools, systems and standards, construction continues to be one of the most high-risk industries in the country. Falls, electrical incidents and equipment mishandling remain key contributors to serious injuries and fatalities.
As electrical specialists, we know too well the dangers of working around live systems, confined spaces and heights. But risks can be managed — and often eliminated — through better awareness, equipment, and procedures.
What We’re Doing at TEIGE
Safety is built into every project we deliver. From detailed job hazard analyses to pre-start checks and high-quality PPE, our team is trained to treat safety as second nature — not an afterthought.
We also believe in continuous improvement, which means regularly reviewing procedures, encouraging open discussions, and taking feedback seriously. Our goal is simple: zero harm, always.
A Few Safety Priorities We Live By:
- Never rush a job — time pressure should never override safety.
- Double check your equipment — from test instruments to EWP harnesses.
- Speak up — if something looks off, stop and report it.
- Stay visible — especially on multi-contractor sites.
Beyond the Week: A Year-Round Mindset
Construction Safety Week is a great opportunity to hit pause, reset, and recommit — but safety doesn’t stop after 9 May. At TEIGE, we aim to lead by example every day, ensuring our clients, partners, and team are all working in environments that value safety as highly as performance.
A Safer Industry Starts With Us
Whether you’re on the tools, managing a site, or supporting projects from behind the scenes, your actions influence the safety of everyone around you. Let’s make that influence a positive one.
TEIGE is proud to support Construction Safety Week 2025 and encourages all workers to take a moment to plan, own and commit — not just this week, but every week.
